From 2018 – 2020, we successfully advocated for the creative industries to be recognised as a key sector in the Kāpiti Coast economy – a first for the district. Creative Manaaki is a lead and supportive delivery partner in a number of actions involving industry and specifically:

Supporting Key Sectors

  • Support the Kāpiti Creative Industries cluster group (now Creative Manaaki) to develop the Kāpiti Creative Industries Action Plan, including attracting investment to assess the feasibility of establishing a Creative Hub, skills development, and visitor attraction projects.
  • Support the development and ongoing growth of industry-led groups.

This ensures that funding and investment is targeted to support the continued economic growth, skills and capability and creative practice development of the creative industries.
