How do I sell my work online?
Sign up as a member, set up directory listing and your shop, and list your creations. It costs $120 per annum. A 20% commission applies when the item sells which goes towards the hosting and servicing of the online platform and the online payment scheme.
What happens when I sell a product?
When someone purchases your creative listing, Creative Kapiti processes their order, depositing money into your account and sends you a receipt notification with all your customer details. You then ship your creations directly to your customer. After your customer has received their order, they are encouraged to place a comment with feedback eg. quick delivery, nicely packaged, exceeded expectation.
What can I sell on Creative Kāpiti?
Items and Services listed on Creative Kapiti must be made, produced, designed, or delivered by you and/or your business, located on the Kapiti Coast. Only members of Creative Kapiti are eligible to sell online.
How does Creative Kapiti intend to market the site?
- We will send a monthly newsletter to members of the public promoting the site, the shop, what’s on, and learning opportunities.
- We will promote through Creative Kapiti’s marketing channels. Facebook. Blogspot. Member and Public newsletters.
- We will advocate for inclusion and referral from www.kapiticoast.com and www.wellingtonnz.com
- We will work with third parties to encourage inclusion in their marketing collateral.
- We will encourage our members to promote through their marketing channels.
- As budget allows, we will undertake paid advertising through print and online media
How do people find me?
There are a few ways. In the Creative Services Directory, which is searchable by artist/busines name, creative discipline or location. Or directly via the Shop.
What information can I include in my directory listing?
All your contact details including social media links. A short biography where you can introduce yourself and/or your creative team, your creative inspiration, what you do, and if applicable, your sub-disciplines. Eg. you might be found under Visual Arts and then under photography and painting.
